Demetris Constantinou is the Head of Risk Management and Executive Director at Blackbeard, where he leads the firm’s risk oversight across alternative investment strategies, with a particular focus on regulatory risk governance, liquidity monitoring, and stress testing frameworks.

Prior to Blackbeard, Demetris served as Director at CW ARMA Fund SPC in the Cayman Islands and simultaneously held the role of Risk Manager at Octa Markets Cyprus Ltd, where he was responsible for enterprise risk management, regulatory reporting (ICARA, IFR, RBSF), and the development of automated risk analytics using Python and MT5 APIs.

From 2018 to 2024, he was Head of Risk Management at Citium Wealth (formerly Sova Asset Management), where he played a key role in setting up quantitative risk models, building automation for capital adequacy and AIFMD reporting, and overseeing Bloomberg AIM and Enfusion platforms.

Earlier in his career, Demetris held senior risk roles at a Cyprus Investment Firms, managing proprietary trading exposures in emerging markets fixed income. He began his financial journey as an actuarial assistant at MetLife Alico and later supported operational teams at the Inland Revenue Department of Cyprus.
